One Day in Madrid, Our Way
What makes our good friend Brock and his 996roadtrip project so special is not just the Porsche itself, but the way he travels. Every destination becomes a mix of driving, culture, food, design, and meaningful moments. His journeys are never about simply arriving somewhere, they’re about experiencing places authentically.
When Brock arrived in Madrid, we wanted to welcome him the best way possible: by making him feel at home.

A perfect day in Madrid starts with an aperitivo at La Dolores, one of the city's most beloved traditional bars, where vermouth and good conversation set the tone for what's to come.
For lunch, our recommendation is Malacatín, home to one of Madrid's most iconic dishes: cocido madrileño. Slow-cooked for hours and served in stages, it's more than a meal; it's a window into the soul of the city.
After lunch, a visit to the Prado Museum to stand in front of masterpieces like Las Meninas, followed by a leisurely stroll through El Retiro is the perfect way to close the evening.

The next stop was our own workshop, Café Leather, where Brock found the driving gloves he wears on every journey, as well as our travel bags. A space where craftsmanship, design, and car culture come together naturally; less like a store, more like meeting people who speak the same creative language.
As the day drew to a close, dinner took us to Filandón, just outside the center of the city, for grilled turbot cooked over an open flame. The perfect ending to a day that had moved effortlessly between tradition, creativity, and good taste.
And finally, the perfect ending: Manu Campa’s Cave, the studio of artist and friend Manu Campa. Surrounded by art, cars, and mezcal, the night captured exactly what Brock’s travels are all about: connecting people, places, and passion through the culture of driving.
For one day, Madrid became part of the 996roadtrip story.
