Repairs
If one of your Café product(s) needs to be repaired, please start by writing us to let us know at shop@cafeleathersupply.com. In your email please include your name, order number, and the reason for repair. Final and most important step: attach at least one image of the affected area so that we can determine the best course of treatment. Upon receiving your repair request, we’ll let you know what we can do about it.
Replacements
If your Café product can not be repaired and it is used for its intended purpose, we will gladly replace the item if still in stock. Otherwise, we can offer store credit or a return for the item during the life of the product.
*Café reserves the right to decide if the product has been used properly or not.

DESCRIPTION
Hand-sewn stitch by stitch, our Cordovan leather straps are made by a master watchmaker artisan. They select the best Cordovan shells that come from the most exclusive manufacturers in the world such as Horween, a family factory from Chicago (USA) born in 1905.
Distinguished by its limited supply, Shell Cordovan is regarded as the finest material with highly desirable qualities. Shells are tanned, stuffed, shaved, and polished over a six-month process by skilled artisans. Its unparalleled strength and durability ensure it endures even the most challenging days and can span generations. With a unique resistance to creasing and the ability to regain a brilliant luster when polished, products crafted from Shell Cordovan improve with age as they develop a rich patina.

MATERIAL
Las pieles Shell Cordovan provienen de una zona muy específica que es una mezcla entre cartílago y piel. El producto consiste en dos pequeñas piezas con forma de concha ovalada irregular, que se someten a un extenso proceso de curtido de seis meses involucrando más de 100 procesos de gran complejidad, consiguiendo transformar la materia prima en producto final. El proceso comienza con el curtido vegetal, donde las pieles suelen dejarse en remojo durante meses. Posteriormente, se aplica meticulosamente una mezcla única de grasas y aceites vegetales, seguido de un tratamiento completamente artesanal y un acondicionado con ceras naturales. Los tintes vegetales se frotan minuciosamente a mano sobre las conchas, y culminan con un acabado esmaltado, también hecho a mano, que da como resultado una superficie pulida como si fuera un espejo y muy lisa.SPECIFICATIONS
